Flashed by Vcyclenut has purchased a GSX8 to develop the best GSX8 ecu flash available.    As with all my all my tuning, my flashes are developed with a combination of dyno and street tuning for the best results from idle to redline and all throttle positions.    My use of road and dyno tuning brings the level of refinement and results to a level that cannot be achieved with dyno tuning alone.

There are lots of dyno runs below that quantify full throttle gains.  Unfortunately, I cannot quantify part throttle improvements, the improvements in smoothness or the increase in fun factor my flash achieves with the motorcycle.   You will be well aware of them every time you twist the throttle though

Comparing my dyno runs to other tuners you will see I have the best gains at the bottom (if they even show the bottom on their runs), midrange and top end.    I have figured out how to make the bike pull all the way out to redline with very little drop off in power.  The last 2000 rpm's are no longer just for overrev but are useful every time you run the bike through the rpm's .   The huge range of rpm's I'm making good usable power make the bike a joy to ride and very easy to ride fast.   It makes gear selection less critical for maximum drive.

The below video is an ECU deep dive to show the settings I will be adjusting in the flash when developing my flashes for the GSX-8S

The below video is my full review of the bike and how I brake in all my new motorcycles.

The below video shows the dyno results from the stock bike  it also has  a direct comparison to the MT07.  Below the video the dyno runs are posted for easier inspection.

The first run is the single gear baseline run that will be used for all comparisons moving forward.   The shape of the top of the curve tells me there are likely gains to be had.  I am also hoping to be able to smooth out a lot of the dips.

The second run is an all gear run, that shows hp vs speed.    As expected gears 1 and 2 are significantly lower, I hope to be able to improve how they compare to the rest of the gears.   In the bottom right corner you can see the theoretical top speed if you can pull redline in top gear is 135 mph.  The speedometer works off of the front wheel speed sensor so I cant say if there is a speed limiter but doing long wheelies will  cause a check engine light that I can disable in the flash.

The next run shows the different modes.    A & B are identical with C just ramping up slower to full throttle.

Last run compares the stock GSX8 to my 2019 MT07 when it was stock.   The GSX8 as expected has a large advantage.  I expect it to react more to the tune than the MT07 making the difference even larger.

The below video shows my results with the stock bike.  More dyno runs below
Here is a dyno run showing stock bike vs stock bike with stage 1 air box mod and my flash.   Please  see intake testing link below for details on the air box mod.  Large gains under the curve that is now smoother and more linear with a  6% increase in peak power using the stock exhaust!!  Its over 80 hp from 7500 to over 9000 rpms and greater than the old peak from just past 7k all the way to redline! The torque is higher than the stock run from 5000 -7000 rpm.

Here is the new modes comparison

Next run compares the stock pipe with the Stage 1 AB mod vs the Stage 2 AB mod.  The Stage 2 Ab mod gives you better area under the curve and it holds on to the power even better

Looking at the Stock bike vs the same bike with the stock pipe, sprint filter, Stage 2 AB mod and my flash the gains are pretty incredible!   The riding experience of the bike is night and day better!!
