​I have completed testing and tuning with the Akrapovic titanium  racing system on the 2021 Mt09 .   The system is the usual high quality we have all come to expect from Akrapovic .   

It does include an o2 extender and the o2 bung accepts wide band o2 sensors for tuning 

This systems separates itself being that it has a catalytic converter and a dual muffler set up. One under the bike and one in the conventional location.  This and the fact that Akrapovic paid to have it certified  makes it road legal in many places that other aftermarket exhausts would not be.  

This system differs from most systems in configuration available for the 21 Mt09 also in the length of its primary header tubes before the collector.  Like the stock system they are much shorter than most of the aftermarket systems available.    This resulted in unique fueling needs but surprisingly similar power curves.   

Install took me an hour and 15 minutes from start to finish. The same as the other systems out.    I removed the top radiator mounting bolts which allowed me to slide the radiator off the bottom mount.  I also loosened the bottom radiator bracket  bolt so the bracket could move around which eased install.  Per the instructions I installed the catalytic converter and first muffler to the header, then bolted that assembly to the head.     I had no issues putting  the header  on.  I used new exhaust gaskets but think you would be fine reusing the stock ones as they are very thick.   I moved towards the back of the bike putting each pipe on without difficulty.  I used a spring tool I had ( Akra should supply one but does not)   I was impressed with the quality of bolts and they even supply matching bolts for the left passenger pegs so they match the ones you switch out to install the mounting bracket.  The bracket is nice and light, unlike the previous generations boat anchor bracket that was used to hold the canister.   Once the exhaust was on the bike , I moved from the back of the bike forward to tighten all the bolts.   Many people do this backwards and start at the front of the bike which can give you alignment issues.  

My highly calibrated bathroom scale weighed  the stock exhaust at 16 lbs with the Akrapovic weighing in at 18.6 lbs with all the hardware for a gain  of around 2.5 lbs.  Thank the dual muffler and catalytic converter for this 

I wish the 2nd canister was a little shorter but overall am very happy with the looks, quality and the performance

Now lets compare stock (red) vs Akrapovic exhaust and my flash (blue).    Really impressive gains across the entire range!  So much for the belief full systems only add top end power !!!  I was impressed that the gains were similiar to the other single muffler non catalytic converter systems I have tested

Sooooo  I decided to pull the second muffler off and see what I would get.  To my surprise I achieved my first run on this bike of  over 120 hp!  I am not telling anyone to run the system like this ,I am just giving you information.  The exhaust blows up out of the first muffler and some type of end cap that turned out would need to be made if someone did this.

There is no DB killer with this system.  With both mufflers mounted it is pretty quiet.  With the second muffler removed its louder but still not on the loud side.

All of those runs are with zero changes to the intake side.

This S2 Air Box Filter Cover features DNA's advanced FCd (Full Contour design). Installation info are included with this new DNA Stage 2.
