AGG RACING © 2013-2014
Tools Needed
1/4” Ratchet
1/4” Socket
#5 Allen bit for the 1/4” socket
Pre-install Requirements
You will need to remove the fuel tank and the air box assembly to gain access to
the area where the block off will be installed.
Removing The Air Pump
1) Once you have removed the air box assembly; this is what you will see.
♦ Notice the yellow marking on the center of the plastic cover? There will be
a plastic rivet located there; use a FLAT HEAD screw driver and pop it out
then simply slide the metal plate to the right and the plastic cover should
pop out.
2) Once you have removed the plastic cover, you will see the following (hoses
will be connected to the air pump). Remove the hoses from the air pump by
pinching the tabs on the clamps and sliding them off, then detach the hoses from
the air pump as pictured.
♦ Unplug the electrical harness from the air pump as well. Once you removed
these three things from the air pump, you should be able to completely
remove the air pump from the bike.
3) Once the air pump is out of the way, remove the two hoses that are
attached to the stock plate nipples.
4) Remove the bolts holding down the stock plates (TWO bolts per plate)
5) This is what you're left with once you have removed the plates.
6) Remove the reeds from the carrier.
7) Once the reeds are removed from the carrier, you can re-use the carrier to
act as a gasket with the new block off plates. Make sure to re-install them with
the “nubs” pointing downward.
8) After re-installing the carrier, apply a couple of drops of BLUE LOCK TITE to
the bolts that hold down the block off plates
9) Snug the bolts down and then add a 1/4 turn. This is what is should look like
when you're all done.
Final Steps
10) Zip tie the air pump plug to the main harness to avoid damage to the
radiator.
11) Use the black rubber plug that came with your kit to plug the air box
breather tube.
