It has a nice finish on it and should hold up well. It has a small resonator to reduce the noise output some. I found the noise level with the stock canister to be about perfect. It was not too loud and had a really nice deep tone to it. Anyone that has ridden an uncorked CP4 knows the addictiveness of the sound it makes, especially if you like Moto GP. My sound DB meter measure 75 DB at idle and 125 during the dyno runs. Measured from directly behind the bike at about 30 feet.
The o2 bungs only accept narrow band o2 sensors so I needed to use an adaptor for the wideband when tuning
Install took me about 45 minutes from start to finish. It was a very straight forward install with nothing really tricky. On the 22 and up models the exup solenoid and o2 sensors need to remain plugged into the main harness for cruise control to work. A bit of a bummer but not a huge deal. The fit on the 22 was fine after removing the flange and gasket off of the stock cat pipe and putting it on the Leo Decat
My highly calibrated bathroom scale weighed the stock catalyst portion at 15.8 lbs with the Leo Vince decat weighing in at 3.5 lbs with all the hardware for a loss of around 12.3 lbs.
First dyno run is stock bike (red) vs Decat pipe installed with no tunning (blue): I left the air fuel curve viewable. There is a small gain at the top but losses at the bottom of the range. You can see in the air fuel curve it is very lean. It was actually above 18.0:1 at one point!!! I do not normally push this narrative, but I would not recommend running a decat pipe on this bike without a tune. The bike also ran very poorly when riding it with flash spots and bad throttle response abound
